Our flexible platform is ideal for students at all levels to supplement any curriculum with innovative practices that promote positive behavior and critical thinking for success in today's world.
Our comprehensive tools are designed to create and automate a variety of tools for your students while bringing your classroom vision to life. By automating many of the processes, you can focus on teaching while the system handles payroll, billing and more.
Banking Module Gives Students Hands-On Money Management Experience
Student Bank Accounts
Through the Replicated Reality banking module framework, students are automatically set up with a spending and savings account. These accounts allow them to receive money, spend money, track money - and save money. The flexibility of the module works well with any curriculum or behavior support system you currently use that requires a cash flow model. The online interface mimics the tools of today's tech-driven banking community allowing students to view their account balances and transaction history as well transfer money and create additional savings accounts to track and progress toward specific savings goals.
Due to the flexibility of the system, the banking module tools can be used for students of all ages. By modeling real-world processes, students are able to learn new skills and survive their financial blunders and successes in a safe environment.
Setting and Tracking Savings Goals
A student-centered savings goal can be for anything. From a new house or chair for their virtual world - or maybe something real-life relevant such as college savings or an emergency fund. No matter how they use them, the banking tools offer a wide array of opportunity to bring money management into your classroom.
In conjunction with our jobs module, the banking module also offers the payroll and bill pay centers. In the payroll center, students are able to spread their automated paycheck across their accounts and savings goals through their direct deposit break down. In addition to managing their direct deposits, they can also view their current and past paystubs that are created through the automated payroll system.
Bill Pay Center
In the Bill Center, students are able to view and manage assigned bills - both one-time and recurring. Recurring bills can be scheduled to be automatically paid through Replicated Reality Bill Payer Service. Where do these bills come from? This is where you come in. Educators have the ability to set up any kind of bill they would like based on their need. Are you a life skills instructor building a real-world model? Maybe you need a recurring electric bill. A school admistrator looking for behavior management? Maybe you need a speeding ticket as a running in the hall fine. The possibilities are endless. In addition to the custom bills, when used with our real estate module, students will automatically receive a rent bill based on your settings.
Jobs Module Provides All The Tools For Employment and Hiring
From custom job boards, online application process to interviews and networking, our jobs module makes setting up classroom jobs or career exploration a breeze. The flexibility of the system lends itself to any curriculum from practical life skills classroom to a supplemental social studies activity to venture into what life was like during the industrial age. Outside the classroom, our jobs module can be used for managing club activities and school government.
Students can apply for jobs online - from the customized job boards that are specific to their class or school. Once submitted, the system notifies the hiring teacher to move the application to the next part of the process. Teachers can request and hold face-to-face interviews, send the application back for review, or hire / decline an application.
Once hired, the student is enrolled in our fully automated direct-deposit payrollsystem. Working in conjunction with our banking module, payroll is deposited in the student account(s) on pay day. Pay day and pay cycles are fully customizable by teachers to meet your needs.
Job Flexibility and Networking
How you work jobs in your school and/or classroom is completely up to you! Everything from the type of job, how often students change jobs, pay cycles, salaries - we provide the tools to make it all work with the greatest amount of automation possible - but you choose what works best for you and your students. When a student leaves a job, they have the ability to self-evaluate their performance and interest in the job. They can also recommend or endorse a classmate for the job. These are great tools to promote self-reflection, critical thinking, and community networking.
Real Estate Module and Bill Pay Center Gives Unlimited Bill Paying Opportunity
Replicated Reality's Real Estate module gives the ability to turn your classroom seating chart into a rental complex. Students can lease their desks for an amount of your choosing and be automatically billed each month. This function introduces students to the idea of contractual agreements, income qualification, pet fees, and more.
Between the real estate module and our Bill Pay Center, students dive into the fiscal responsibility (and accountability) while navigating needs vs. wants spending and budgeting.
Students apply for rental property (their desk) online through our rental process. They can choose a seat based on price, description, location, or any number of factors. Teachers have the flexibility to customize this process as much or as little as they desire based on their specific needs.
Automated Invoicing and Auto-Pay
Teachers have the ability to create custom bills - both one-time and recurring bills. This can include unique company names and even company logos. When a bill is assigned to a student, the system automatically creates an invoice for the student to manage and pay in their own bill pay center. This model provides the flexibility to work with any curriculum or program used in the classroom, and provides opportunity to dive into the needs vs. wants financial decision making.
Each classroom can be given a street address, each desk a number. Based on this address information, each student then has their own unique physical address that can be used for a number of creative innovations within your school. From a physical school store with online fulfillment to a mail system - the address created in Replicated Reality gives students the opportunity to manage an address while keeping privacy intact.
Virtual Store and World Builder Create Built-In Rewards
Replicated Reality's Virtual Store and World Builder ties all the modules together. Whether you are using Replicated Reality as a behavioral support intervention or a hands-on engagement tool for real-world transition, this module serves a critical purpose of reward and/or wants-based spending.
Store and World Builder
The store and world builder gives students control over their financial decision making and offers a tool to entice and engage students. Students have the opportunity to manage need-based spending through real estate and bills, but here students can buy items to build their own virtual world. From rooms to add on to their house, decor, furniture, avatars and pets, students have a wide variety of opportunity to express their own creativity AND practice wants-based spending.
As students make their way through the store and checkout procedures, they are offered various critical thinking tips. At the point of adding an item to the cart, students are asked to think about where it fits in their current financial situation. Do they have enough money? Have they taken care of their responsibilities? Then again, at checkout, students are safeguarded against overspending and instructed what to do if they do not have enough money.
As with all our modules, the virtual store is controlled at the teacher level. As a teacher, you can decided what inventory is right for your classroom, prices and more. You also have control over when students can visit the virtual store by setting hours that it is open and closed for your students.
Unique Progressive Tool for All Ages - And ALL Students
The Replicated Reality platform was built of all ages in mind. The best part about that is by introducing the tools early and continuing to use them throughout a child's K-12 career, these "adulting" skills will no longer be a foreign concept that needs to be taught (at least the basics) come graduation. Not to mention, if students are actively learning concepts like basic financial literacy earlier, by the time they reach high school it will be easier to build on it with more advanced concepts - giving them the opportunity to be that much more prepared for life.
For grades K-5, Replicated Reality offers a platform ideal for classroom management and behavioral support. A school wide economy can be created easily, and classroom jobs can be managed through the jobs module. With the flexibility of the system, it is easy to choose which pieces you would like to use and how simple or complex the program should be.
Once a student moves from elementary to middle, they could bring their balances and creative designs with them if the program is established at both schools. With the right design, the platform will progress with the student. In middle school, they may encounter rent for the first time or innovative uses for the academic classroom. The middle school level may use the program to entice students to join a club, or run for an office. All the while, continuing in the same real-world environments of managing an online bank account, jobs, and real estate.
High School And Beyond
As a student enters high school, students can really start looking into the future. With the open resources area, students can be introduced to more advanced financial concepts and focus can shift from behavior management and more into getting ready for the future ahead. Rewards may change at this level, and local inventory can be added to better meet the needs of the students.
In addition to our K-12 general population, Replicated Reality makes the perfect tool to prepare special education students through the necessary steps of transition. From career exploration and life skills, the platform works well the meet the needs of all students!
